Who are the business people inside an organization? Sales and marketing, of course. And then there’s product development and production, finance, and distribution. These are all business people. Who else? How about human resources? Are they somehow exempt from the requirement to be business-focused, and to model the skills and expertise required of business leadership? Damone Richardson joins us to explain that no, they are not exempt.
About Our Guest Damone Richardson leads Employee and Labor Relations at Harper College in the Chicago area and is a partner with CIS Valued Partners. Previously he served as Director of Strategy Development for Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations; and as a Consultant for Workforce Solutions. Damone has delivered workshops and developed proprietary research for American Express, Sovereign Bank, Monsanto, Zapoint, The Screen Actor’s Guild, The Writer’s Guild of America and The New York Production Alliance. He has also guest lectured at Harvard University, New York University, Queens College and the University of Wisconsin. He is the author of more than 50 proprietary studies, and has published numerous articles. Plus he makes frequent appearances as an expert in the print media, documentaries and news programs, including ABC World News Tonight.
