Georgianna Meléndez joins us to discuss the Commonwealth Compact. The Compact is an agreement among approximately 200 Massachusetts organizations designed to address diversity issues through:

1. Making a serious commitment to diversity
2. Participating in ongoing workforce benchmarking

This unique diversity program does not involve quotas or other top-down injunctions for addressing diversity gaps. The benchmarking exercise is about gathering the data and letting the facts speak for themselves.

We'll talk about how this transparent approach has evolved and why a skills-based talent network has the potential to transform how we think about and address diversity issues.
