Nathaniel Wolf was born in 1972, his masculine self-expression was not hampered and being a “tom boy” was quite acceptable in the 70’s. He really didn’t see himself as anything other than a little boy, and when some people (mostly family) referred to him as a girl, he shrugged it off as their delusion. Most people, who saw him out and about and didn’t know him, assumed he was a boy. “After all, my playmates were other little boys, and I did normal “boy” things. My favorite toy was a wooden sword I had made for myself (I slept with the thing under my pillow for years thinking it became real in my dreams). He cowered behind a mask of as much feminine charade as he could muster. http://shiftingstrands.blogspot.com/2011/09/what-you-see-is-what-you-get.html#!/2011/09/what-you-see-is-what-you-get.html
