Monique is a veterinary pathologist and toxicologist, owner of two small businesses, a writer and editor, and a coach and mentor in time management/productivity. I have lived in Paris, France for the past 20 years and plan to spend the rest of my life here. One of my businesses is Discover Paris! - a travel planning service for Anglophones who wish to visit the City of Light. Discover Paris! specializes in Afro-centric walking tours and activities and gourmet tours. The majority of our activities are privately arranged. I am the author of two books: a cookbook called Food for the Soul - A Texas Expatriate Nurtures Her Culinary Roots in Paris and a travel book called Paris Reflections: Walks through African-American Paris. I am constantly researching black history and contemporary life in Paris to enhance the Afro-centric tour experience of Discover Paris! clients and write a blog called Entrée to Black Paris to share what is happening in the black Anglophone and Francophone communities here. I have published an e-book called Black Paris Profiles that features several members of today's African-American and Afro-Caribbean communities. I will release a new, expanded version of the book on Kindle in late November 2012.
