Judy M. Miller is an adoption advocate and educator. I work with pre- and adoptive parents to help them prepare for parenting children who have been adopted. I present on and teach a broad range of topics and classes; among them stress in adoption, attachment, adjustment, psychosocial development, core issues, Tweens, Teens & Beyond, infertility to adoption, transracial parenting, becoming parents, trauma, and how to support the family who has adopted. I am a Certified Gottman Educator and a Parenting Counts Educator, assisting parents and their children with information and techniques to equip and empower them during challenging times. I am the Adoption Pro for Parenting Squad’s ProSquad and a contributor to Adoption Voices Magazine.
John Winters spent 25 years in the newspaper business. As an investigative reporter, I was nominated three times for the Pulitzer Prize. I was a former Washington, D.C. bureau chief, publisher of the Juneau Empire in Alaska; general manager of the Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent; and director of a national news service with a combined circulation of more than 600,000 circulation and 30 newspapers. I've also written three books: Everyone Needs A Sam; Everyone Needs A Sam Study Guide; The Little Black Dress and the SONS of Thunder - recipes on Life and Food.
