Kristen Adkins is the founder and Executive Director of the Nonprofit,
Women of Wisdom and Strength – WoWS.
Kristen is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising and her business world experience includes the Buying
office at Macy’s California as well as hiring and training makeup
artists for Clinique
She has volunteered more than 2000 hours with Child Advocates Inc. as
a court appointed Guardian ad Litem, as a Personal Shopper and
community speaker for “Dress for Success”, and as a Life Skills
instructor for the Mission of Yahweh Homeless Shelter for women and
children.
After working with underprivileged women Kristen concluded that basic
life skills information is missing from these women’s lives.
WoWS’ mission is to provide these skills and to promote a positive
cultural change in Houston.  WoWS’ philosophy is simple: start with
Mom.
There are 84,000 single Moms in Houston, 25,000 of which live below
the poverty line.    Kristen and WoWS are passionate about sharing
information that with these Moms that will build stronger families
with brighter futures.
Kristen presently lives in Katy, TX with her husband George; they are
parents to five fabulous Children and grandparents to Zoey.

Diana Rinkoff, will guide you on a journey to self-discovery. She will provide you with a guide to alternative healing therapies, various psychological approaches, and diverse social and cultural practices, wisdom practices, such as meditation, and various spiritual teachings and traditions. Each discussion will offer you new information along with the thoughts and opinions of leaders in the chosen field so that you may discover for yourself what is right for you.
