Bryan Batt stars as “Salvatore Romano”: Sterling Cooper's art director and closeted gay man. This multi talented actor, writer, designer and civic activist whose on and off Broadway credits include such hits as Sunset Boulevard, Beauty and the Beast, Starlight Express, Saturday Night Fever, Cats and the staged production and film” Jeffrey” will be talking to the Tomatoes about his new book, “She Ain’t Heavy, She’s My Mother.” A funny, moving and vivid tribute to his "strong-willed steel magnolia" of a mother, Gayle Batt. Bryan Batt shares the stories of his life growing up gay in the 70’s in New Orleans and how his magical, charming ineffable mother’s unconditional love and support “taught him everything he knows about being a man. Gayle Batt, a great lady gave the world a great man in Bryan Batt and he is in the house with the Tomatoes in the Trenches.
