Episode 6 - TE! Talks with Dr. Nicole Coleman about Black mental Health Issues. Dr. Coleman is an Assistant Professor in the Educational Psychology Department in the College of Education at the University of Houston. Her areas of research include multicultural counseling and group counseling. This 2009 winner of the College of Education Teaching Excellence Award will bring a fresh and informed perspective as she speaks not just as a psychologist but also as a researcher and educator of psychologists. Tune in as we ask Dr. Coleman the tough questions such as: How the affects of globalized white supremacy affects Black Mental Health?; How hip hop culture plays into current social attitude in the Black Community?
