    Prototype Episode and Intro

Hey guys and gals, Chaneda here.

Well, I created a prototype Intro to TMF Radio and a test (pilot) episode that is more than anything an experiment in recording and using Garageband as a podcast maker.  True, flow of speech could be better but I made both in 30 minutes without a script so it's only a start.

I'm pleased with both of them (they both say "Chaneda" in their file names) and would like to know what you guys think.

    Thanks,
    - Chaneda

Not too bad, hopefully, for the first time

So apparently no one could figure out how to listen to the livefeed until there were 2 minutes left in the segment. I didn't have anything planned to fill the 15 minutes so I'm going to try again in the next few days.

I need to work on not mumbling and maybe using more inflection in my voice. Whatevs.

I've deleted the segment and am going to try to do another one in the next few days. I will make a post when I have that scheduled. Hopefully this one will go a little smoother and people will figure out how to listen once we go live. That way we can get some callers and it won't be just me trying to fill 15 minutes of airtime.

Here's something that might help if you're still lost:

How do I listen to a show?

To listen to a live show click on the "click to listen" button on the Host Channel page. Your computer must have the Windows Media Player or other compatible audio player. You can download the latest version at the Windows Media Download Site. There is a version of Windows Media Player for Mac users as well. Mac users can also download “Flip4Mac” for the QuickTime player.

The Host Channel Page is the TMF Radio profile page and when we're live, there should be a "click to listen" button which looks like this: near the top of the page.

After we're done recording the show, it will be archived to the webpage, but it will take 30 minutes to 3 hours for that to happen, so if you miss it you may have to wait a bit.

    Thanks for listening guys.

    I promise it'll get better!

    TMF Radio, in the works

    Mairead here.

So my idea of a TMF podcast is slowly, but surely, coming together. Luckily, MTP Jeff helped me find this website and luckily, it's free. There are a lot of people that want to help out and I think if we can get everyone together to discuss things and get organized, we'll be up and running in no time.

I've set up an email address for people that want to make comments, ask questions, leave suggestions, etc and it's definitely encouraged because without that interaction, there's really no point for me to be doing this, right?

Please feel free to send us some input at tmfradio@yahoo.com.

    Thanks guys!
