Torrey Allen Show, 2/14/13

Welcome to the Love & Basketball Edition of the Torrey Allen Show. This week, we celebrate Valentine's Day, the 2013 All-Star Game, His Airness' 50th birthday and the 25th Anniversary of the Greatest Slam Dunk Contest of All-Time.

First we’re going to take a look at this year’s All-Star Weekend. Who has the edge in this year’s All-Star game? Can the Western Conference win their third All-Star Game in a row? Or will the Eastern Conference take the title this year and add another “W” to their league leading total of victories in the All-Star Game. (The East leads the West 36-25 all-time in the All-Star Game.)

Also, on the day of the All-Star Game, not only will the NBA celebrate their All-Stars, they along with NBA Fans and city of Chicago will be celebrating Michael Jordan’s 50th Birthday. In Torrey’s house, MJ’s B-Day is considered a national holiday and he usually takes the day off of work.

We’ll also talk the 25th Anniversary of the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest; arguably the Greatest Slam Dunk contest of All-Time. We’ll tackle the biggest question associated with that contest; did Dominique Wilkens get robbed in that contest because MJ was on his home court in Chi-Town?

Later on in the show, we’ll be talking about various news and notes from around the world of sports including the news that pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training this week.

Finally, since this is the Valentine’s Day version of the Torrey Allen Show, nothing says Valentine’s Day and love like infidelity. The Torrey Allen family will ask, “When did infidelity become acceptable or the “norm”?” It all seems so “scandalous”!!!!

So join us tonight at 8pm
