    The First 100 Days

I don't remember watching any of the Presidential Inaugurations of the past...bits and pieces maybe, but nothing in its entirety - certainly didn't care enough to watch the events leading up to the ceremony or to videotape the entire broadcast.

I would have loved to have been there for such a momentous occassion.. I thought it was "good" that we were able to see how nervous Barack Obama was while being sworn into office. He jumped the gun when it was time for him to recite the oath...and even stumbled over some words (not his fault!). To me, it showed how much he card, how human he is and similarly to how I felt on election night...that all things ARE possible with GOD.

As a believer I "know" that God can do all things. However, sometimes I need a clear reminder - yesterday I got one. Millions of people like me, got one. We can do all things as long as we look to God to lead, guide and protect us in our endeavors.

We witnessed a peaceful transition of power. Not a mere governmental shift of power - but a personal, deeply intimate shift of inner power.

As a result, my strenght has been renewed, I keep telling myself to use my power widely and use my power wisely.  Love my neighbors and love myself. Never give up and never give in to discouragement.

I believe that day-by-day, the empowered impart a peaceful transition of power to those rendered powerless.

God bless and be good to one another!
    Tish
