It is hard enough to deal with what happened to us but to have to face our abuser at an event where we are suppose to have fun is adding salt to an open wound.     Survivors of the Lion's Den: Abused Child to Destructive Adult

    I will be talking about Child Sexual Abuse. Sexual abuse of a child and/or incest. Incest is sexual contact between persons who are so closely related that their marriage is illegal (e.g., parents and children, uncles/aunts and nieces/nephews, etc.). This usually takes the form of an older family member sexually abusing a child or adolescent. All forms of child sexual abuse can have negative long-term effects for the survivor. Incest is especially damaging because it disrupts the child’s primary support system, the family.
