What happens when we're let down or disappointed by someone?

When our expectations aren’t met a  predictable pattern of feelings & behaviors emerge:

-  We hope 'someone' will say/do something that is perceived as a want or need in our life; Feeling: hopeful

- We spend time wishing/wondering/waiting for the want/ need to be fulfilled; Feeling: anticipation, anxious)

-  Result is not what we hoped for; Short term Feeling: disappointment, sadness

- Long Term PROBLEM: As similar experiences occur, the short term feelings of disappointment & sadness can evolve into feelings of anger& resentment for those that don’t fulfill our expectations.
