Not long ago the idea of “classic movies” went no farther back than 20 years or so. Today, there's hunger for nostalgia. Whether TV or movies, the market's exploding. Are you interested in Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Robert Taylor? The internet will show you how to find where you get the latest and greatest of everything about their lives. What if you’re intrigued by those names which not everyone immediately recognizes … Madge Evans, Colleen Moore, or Dean Stockwell? How do you find out about the lesser-known? Is it getting easier to ferret out details, or find old shows, or get photos and magazines and other entertainment-related ephemera? Do you even KNOW what ephemera means?! Join us on, the Three Wise Girls, Thursday, May 6, noon – 1 PM EST as we delve into the world of classic entertainment and e-commerce. We’ll talk to Cliff Aliperti, owner of things-and-other-stuff, an online home for everything related to classic entertainment. Cliff will talk about how he started his business, what got him interested, and how the internet has changed the nostalgia market forever. Cliff's been selling on eBay since 2000. Thanks to his uncle, he’s been in the nostalgia business—starting with baseball cards—since the mid 1980s. He moved into entertainment and has been at it ever since. He'll talk about his journey, how the market has changed, and what he thinks is the future of nostalgia-for-sale. We’re likely to have some surprise guests. Please call in and talk with Cliff about your favorite entertainment figure from days past, or visit our chat room. We want to hear from you! Three Wise Girls... chat room log-in at that page. Call in after noon EST at 347-994-3835. The Three Wise Girls—and Cliff Aliperti—want to hear from you!
