Impatience with God and You (Genesis 14, 15, and 16)

Reading Genesis 14, 15, and 16 because as I've been planning the episodes of the program, I forgot to read two chapters on Saturdays and Sundays.  So we have some catching up to do. 

In today's reading, we find that Abram and Sarai got impatient with God's promises and decided to make the birth of their child happen with a surrogate.  But this was not God's plan at all, and it brought trouble and pain to their household.  In fact, the violentstruggle between the brothers' descendants continues today.

The best thing any of us can do with any of our lives is to wait on God and fulfill His purposes in His timing.
