Peaceoholic Ron Moten - Democrat Turned Republican,

Our guest griot Ron Moten is a republican running for Washington D.C. City council in Ward 7.  The Peaceaholics co-founder who is running for the D.C. Council seat currently held by Councilmember Yvette Alexander (D-Ward 7),  He believes The Democrats have been taking the African American community's vote for granted and African Americans will vote for President Obama because he is black.and a Democrat.
          Ron, a lifelong Democrat and fierce supporter of former mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D), said he decided to become a Republican to give Ward 7 voters another choice. He was the first Republican to signal an intention to run for the council this year.
