Are You Missing Facebook Trending Topics?

MARKETWATCH: "In 2016 former Facebook  employees told Gizmodo they routinely suppressed conservative news from the 'trending' section. Facebook denied the Gizmodo story and the employee in charge of the trending topics section said the company has 'found no evidence that the anonymous allegations are true.'"

And yet...
Trending Topics is gone.

In a June 1, 2018 article by THE VERGE entitled "Facebook will remove the Trending topics section next week," relatively few realized the significance of the disappearing feature.
