Call in to speak with the host
Jeremiah, a prophet with a broken heart!
God chose this man, who had a mother’s heart, a trembling voice, and tear-filled eyes, to deliver a harsh message of judgment to a people who would not listen so that the message that he gave broke his own heart!
Jeremiah has been known as the "weeping prophet." It isn’t that he was a crybaby. It is that he loved his countrymen and saw what they were going through which brought him to tears. We also read in the Bible that Jesus wept (John 11:35). There is a lesson here. It is that God calls us to be involved in the lives of the people He gave His life for. That implies an emotional involvement.
DO YOU WEEP FOR THE LOST? ARE YOU A WATCHMEN? WHEN YOU HAVE TO BRING A WORD TO SOMEONE INFORMING THEM OR ERROR, DOES IT PUFF YOU UP TO GET IN THEIR FACES AND TELL THEM WHAT'S WHAT, OR DOES IT BRING YOU TO TEARS AS IT DOES THE FATHER AS HIS CHILD IS LOST IN SIN?
DOES IT JUST BREAK YOUR HEART TO SEE THE SIN IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW AND HOW SO MANY ARE FALLING AWAY?
LET ME ENCOURAGE YOU TO PRESS ON TONIGHT!
THERE IS HOPE, IN THE NIGHT!
