Ezili Dantò is an internationally recognized Haiti activist, scholar , people's historian, performance poet, human rights lawyer and a master Haitian dancer and choreographer. Over twenty years ago, Ezili Dantò founded the Haitian Lawyers Leadership Network (HLLN). The Haitian Lawyers Leadership Network is a network of lawyers, journalists, activists and grassroots human rights and cultural organizations dedicated to institutionalizing the rule of law and protecting the human, cultural and economic rights of Haitians living at home and abroad. The Ezili Network is dedicated to showing Haiti riches while correcting the media lies and colonial narratives about Haiti. A writer, performance poet and lawyer, Ezili Dantò is a Desalin activist who was once legal advisor to the first democratically elected Haiti president Jean Bertrand Aristide; a legal advisor to the Minister of Justice; and, the author of a judicial reform agenda for Haiti.After the Jan 12, 2010 earthquake, Attorney Dantò created Zili Dlo
Zili Dlo is a Haiti-led, Haiti-capacity building clean water, skills transfer and renewable power project that provides solar powered clean water and has electrified two rural villages in Haiti. Zili Dlo's mission is to empower Haiti women and families as solar engineers, to transfer business skills to create local Haiti entrepreneurs, and to solar electrify and provide clean water to everyone in Haiti.
