Over the past four decades, Adrienne Hynes has devoted her considerable energies and talents to expanding access to learning, training and enrichment opportunities for adults of diverse ages, backgrounds and circumstances.

In the 1970s, Adrienne founded a first-of-a-kind educational program Womanschool Network, a unique program that over the next 10 years provided more than 10,000 women with the opportunity to polish and upgrade their skills, gain fresh perspective and a greater sense of confidence, and prepare themselves for new challenges.

She launched her own training and consulting business during the 1980’s. Over the next 15 years, she worked with up to two dozen independent contractors to provide specialized training – in areas ranging from time management to conflict resolution to pre-retirement planning to diversity awareness – for the employees of AT&T, US West, Kodak, Hewlett-Packard and other corporations.

Since the late 1990s, she has been engaged in a variety of activities focused on the unique needs, interests and contributions of people over the age of 50.

In 2000, Adrienne decided to shift gears. She downsized her business, and with five other people formed a nonprofit organization, Institute for Lifework, focused on “reinventing aging.” The institute organized and hosted several well-attended conferences in the Denver area, including one, “The Face of Aging is Changing,” that featured former Colorado Governor Dick Lamm and his wife Dottie as keynote speakers, and was broadcast on public television.

More recently, Adrienne has been focusing on her expertise in Fashion and is leading workshop on Fashion for Women 55+.  In addition, she is a consultant to senior recreation centers focusing on improving the lives of seniors using contemporary techniques.
