The Spiritual Envoy  

   As I mentioned I was a bit nervous for my last show.  I made matters worse by scheduling the show in the wrong time zone so I had to scramble to re-schedule minutes before my show!  Summer Bacon was wonderful and we began by talking about her life and journey including some of her experiences with domestic violence.  I was more talkative this show as domestic violence is something I have both personal and professional experience with.  We discussed safety plans such as having duplicate keys made and hidden, getting a little extra cash together and keeping it in a hidden spot etc.  I was very nervous to have Summer channel Dr. Peebles so I procrastinated in the show...but Summer came through with excellent timing and put me back on track!  It may not seem like it but I am a skeptic by nature.  Is this channeling for real, is it possible and so on.  I will honestly say when he spoke to me I cried.  It is was just very emotional but I had to  zip it so to speak so I could go on with the show.  And I know one of the callers very well and Dr. Peebles captured her perfectly and no way he could know her before hand.  He was absolutely right when he said I had thrown caution to the wind and decided to have quests on that I would want to know about even if they weren't main stream so to speak.  I wanted to summarize a couple of things  I thought he said which were important which is in  issues such as Domestic Violence the abuser is not necessarily bad but is rather confused.  I have always thought that all of us have the potential to be abusers so judging and pointing fingers does not solve the problem.  I have interviewed alot of "abusers" and a very few of them did not regret their actions.  That does not mean we as survivors of abuse should stay with the abuser if there is no change in both behavior and attitude. 
     I also asked Dr. Peebles about the systems in place...I was referring to the courts which he got immediately but made a great point these systems are not based in love and until they are they will not solve any problems.  He focused on the family units including extended family as the sources of support for these issues. Just beautiful as there is love in many of those systems.  he also said it was not useful to friends of those getting divorced to point fingers and judge but for everyone to act the best way they can regardless of how the other person acts as it is between us and God in how we behave here on This School Called Planet Earth!  So thanks to Summer Bacon and Dr. Peebles!
