Vibha Srivastava is a Crew Scientist for MarsCrew134, a team of highly trained scientist, researchers and filmmaker who will embark on a Mars simulation at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah, USA.

Vibha Srivastava grew up in India where she nurtured the dream of becoming an Astronaut from an early stage of her childhood.

She completed her Bachelor’s in Aeronautical Engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad, Gujarat University.  She is currently working at the post of Deputy Manager in the Aerodynamics group of Aircraft Research and Design Center Division in Bangalore, India.

She pursued Masters in Space Studies from International Space University,  in Strasbourg, France. Vibha developed interest in new technologies to make in-situ resource utilization feasible for human missions to Mars. Through her internship at NASA Ames she developed an experimental with the Planetary Systems Branch to extract the in-situ resource water from the Martian surface soil. She will use the same experiment set up to extractwater and collect hydrogen while at MDRS.
