Our guests this morning are Steve Carvel and Russ Lesser representing the Leadership Manhattan Beach  Program.

Steven Carvel is a Manhattan Beach based estate planning attorney that has worked in the community for over a dozen years handling estate planning needs. He was a member of the Leadership Manhattan Beach class of 2017 where he was the class project co-lead for the renovation of Manhattan Beach’s historic Santa Float which has been in operation since 1955.  He also served as the chairman of the Santa Float Committee for four years, where he managed the Float’s five special appearances and fifteen nights out touring the community.

Russ Lesser’s grandparents purchased a home in Manhattan Beach in 1917 and he and his wife live about 100 feet from the original family house. He attended Manhattan Beach schools and graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a degree in accounting.  Russ served in the U.S. Army as a first Lieutenant in the finance corps, then worked as a CPA in a Long Beach firm where he was a partner for 20 years before being elected managing partner.  In 1990, he left the firm to become president of Body Glove International.  When Body Glove was sold in 2016 he remained president of the parent company, Dive N’ Surf, Inc.
