Jenna, Christensen, Seaside Heroes Park Beautification Effort

Our guest this morning is Jenna Christensen.

Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, Jenna is a Global Real Estate Advisor at Engel & Völkers South Bay. Jenna is also the driving force behind the monthly community beautification effort at Seaside Heroes Park in Torrance.

The second Saturday of every month, community volunteers get down and dirty at Seaside Heroes Park from 8 to 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to lend a hand cleaning, weeding, and dead heading. Even though the park is small, it’s a huge job to keep it looking good. As of January 2018, there are over 900 work hours in this project. This is a labor of love and the organizers are immensely grateful to anyone who gives their time.

This morning, Jenna is going to give us the back story on the park and what it takes to maintain it.
