James O’Callaghan, President Manhattan Beach Chamber

Our guest this morning is James O’Callaghan, President and CEO of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.

James has been a guest on the show previously but this time, he’s here in a new capacity – as producer of The South Bay Show’s brand new Friday program featuring the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce. 

The Manhattan Beach Chamber is an association of businesses, other entities and individuals organized to encourage a strong local economy and quality of life by promoting commerce, sound government and an informed membership and community. 

James comes to Manhattan Beach from Venice Visitor, Venice’s first destination marketing organization at which he served as Executive Director. Previously, he served as Director of Visitor Services for LA Inc. and the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau.  

As Chamber President and CEO, James guides and oversees the Board of Directors which is comprised of business leaders throughout the South Bay, as well as the Chamber’s 19 committees which include special events, business development programs and more. 

James holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hofstra University and a Masters of Education from Columbia University.
