Our guest this morning is Chef Matt Strong.
Matt recently took over the kitchen at Jackson Food & Drink in El Segundo.
Matt is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu program in Pasadena California and his resume includes celebrated restaurants such as Patina in Los Angeles and Jean-Georges in New York City.
His most recent roles include Spago and Wolfgang Puck Catering.
He has been with Jackson's for just a few months and is in the process of changing the menu and adding his own personal touch.
Matt believes in using seasonal and fresh ingredients which highlight every dish and he is a huge proponent of local and regional farmers markets.
He also has a love affair with cheese and wants to create delicious cheese and charcuterie boards at Jacksons in the very near future.
