Alisa Wyatt has been teaching Pilates since 1999 when she left her high-powered publishing job in New York to spread her passion for Pilates.
Pilatesology.com is a membership based site designed for people who want to learn “pure” Pilates, as creator, Joseph Pilates intended.
Created by Pilates professional instructor, Alisa Wyatt, the website debuted in January 2012.
Alisa is a featured expert for Pilates Style Magazine and creator of a series of acclaimed DVDs: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Pilates Workout and Pilates for Men.
She is an exercise advisor for many professional athletes, including Volleyball players and Surfers.
Considered in the industry as a Pilates purist, Alisa was certified by Pilates legend, Romana Kryzanowska (pron: Cries-Zan-Ow-Ska).
To hone her craft, Alisa has sought out training from those who were taught to be teachers by Mr. Pilates himself.
She currently studies with Jay Grimes who is one of the few remaining teachers who worked for Mr. Pilates.
Alisa and her husband, internationally known photographer, Jack Coble have created Pilatesology with the goal of recording, preserving, and spreading Joseph Pilates’ original work worldwide.
