So its 24 hrs after a pretty awful PPV at least for the most part, and we hope that WWE will give us a good RAW to make up for it. I will say for the most part RAW wasnt all that bad thanks to a humorous segment by Santino Marella and Jillian, and the Hardy/Benjamin match (well the 2nd half anyway). I'll go more in depth will Cena/Orton on this weeks show. But after RAW, I find myself pretty infuriated at WWE and more importantly Paul "Triple H" Lesvesque. When he got injured, dare I say it was almost a breath of fresh air from himself and Shawn Michaels squashing through the tag division in a long winded DX reunion which went way way longer than it should have. So one would think that all that time off, could very well have given Hunter (as we'll call him) a fresh look on things and almost a new start. I think by the time he arrived in East Rutherford, NJ for SummerSlam we all expected Hunter to go over King Booker. No harm, No foul, Booker wanted out of WWE anyways. Not a real big loss, because Booker was built up well and had alot of heat so the loss to the face at the PPV was imminent. Then to RAW two/three weeks ago when he squashed Carlito and Umaga. Carlito has been in the doghouse since April and obviously isnt going to get any favors from mgmt, and Umaga was being written off of TV for a suspension after the Signature Pharmacy Scandal broke out. But we get to last night's RAW and Hunter magically has a handicap match against whom? Nope, sure isnt random jobbers or lower card singles wrestlers. Nope, his ego wouldnt allow that. He gets to fight the World Tag Team Champions. In Hunters absense on TV in the last 8-9 months, the tag division seemed to be rebuilt to certain degree and Cade/Murdoch have had a decent push when they were actually allowed on TV. Certainly you all remember when Hunter was around before and they were flung to him like fodder. So seeing that grahpic on my screen of that match, i knew something was up. After a long long winded promo by McMahon and Triple H's crappy ol DX jokes, he goes into the match. He pretty much "No-Sells" during the entire match to Cade/Murdoch's offense. Obviously he goes over and beats them. That should come as absolutely no surprise. Carlitos at ringside, and he jumps in the ring to make it a 3 on 1 beatdown and logically from a storyline standpoint, London and Kendrick come down to make the save (They fought Cade/Murdoch at the PPV on sunday). They help clear the ring and attempt to celebrate with Hunter. He looks at them with that shit eating grin on his face and seemingly shakes their hand before beating the crap out of them. You know, at a time with Congressional hearings on the horizon this is a time where WWE should be looking out to their smaller guys and giving them more of a push and this big lug who has no charisma anymore and is jealous that he can't put on a good match anymore decides to once again put the smaller guys in that role like they dont matter. How dare London/Kendrick try to get a bit of rub, and get put over. Apparently that isnt allowed. This only signifies of how much of an asshole Hunter really is. Its times like this where your not helping the company, but actually hurting it in the long run. But guys like Hunter will never see that, because hes out for one person and one person only and that is himself. You think its bad now? Hate to see the state of the WWE when Stephanie and Hunter take over after Vince steps down.
