An Hour With Luis Rivera

At the age of 9 years old while most kids were asking their parents for a new toy, Luis Rivera was asking his mother to let him stay up to watch Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show. It was at that age he realized he wanted to make people laugh!  Luis Rivera, or as the comedy world and his old childhood buddies know him, Comedylou! This native born Puerto Rican fell in love with stand up comedy at an early age and has been entertaining audiences with his down to earth and often hilarious look at life as a "white" latino, since he hit the stage running by winning a huge contest held every year in his hometown of Philadelphia PA, earning him the title of Phillys Funniest Comedian of 2009! His comedy is drawn from his experiences as a minority growing up in the often rough and rugged areas of Philly and from his outrageous takes on life within a Puerto Rican family. In 2011 Having had what Luis calls "a divine encounter" this comedian gave his life and his heart to Jesus Christ and walked away from  the secular comedy world to use his God given talent for making people laugh and to help expand the kingdom of God. A full time memeber of The Christian Comedy Tour, Luis can be seen and heard making audiences roll with laughter throughtout many of the churches in Central Florida. This comedian is a must see and one who will definitely not make you afraid of sitting in the front row or even make you have to leave your children at home for fear of the "language". His brand of comedy runs the gamut from silliness, to thought provoking stories.
