The Rose of Sharon  

The Rose of Sharon will now offer the weekly segments on Spirituali-TEA, and ST. CIARAN'S CRITTER CONNECTION, both topics surrounding Christian spirituality.

Spirituali-TEA will focus on Christian spirituality in home and family, as well as Christian news, chats on saints and others who live exceptional Christian lives, and book reviews on religious matters.

ST.CIARAN'S CRITTER CONNECTION will focus on the spirituality of the human/animal bond.

However, The Rose of Sharon will include these topics as a service locally here in the Poconos, as well as to everyone who would like to join in and share their ideas on these topics.

The Rose of Sharon welcomes guests who can speak to these topics and enhance the spiritual lives of our listeners.

The Rose of Sharon is a reference to the biblical reference in the Song of Songs which states: "I am a rose of sharon, a lily of the valley."

The Sharon valley was known for its fragrance, and workers of the fields would go there to rest and eat, and take in the sweet freshness of the beautiful flowers.  When the scripture refers to this, we read that God is a rose of Sharon, and we are invited to take in the sweet fragrance of Love that renews our spirits!
