Singer, songwriter, musician, and Elvis Tribute Artist Rick Saucedo began his career in 1972 with The Ambassadors. Upon beginning his tribute to Elvis Presley, Rick and The Ambassadors rocked and rolled through the '70s and '80s. As time went on, Rick began a career of songwriting. Since 1978, Rick has written and released over 40 of his own original songs. His first original album, "Heaven Was Blue", was released on vinyl and is now considered a psychedelic cult-classic worth over $1000 a piece. To date, Rick has released albums of psychedelic, rock, country, and gospel natures. Rick's original music has become an important staple in his shows. Hits such as "I Will Stay", "Tell Me Why", "Love is a Game", "Our Love", and "Once Again" have received radio play and rave reviews. In 1998, Rick Saucedo went solo and has since continued to grow and develop musically and as an entertainer. Rick is now capable of playing numerous instruments professionally and is focusing more heavily on songwriting and expanding his career. In 2000, his website ricksaucedo.com launched. In 2007, he hit cyberspace again with official releases onto YouTube. In 2008, he came to MySpace and in 2009, his first official radio show came here to BlogTalkRadio. Hosted by longtime friend and Rick Saucedo Show crewmember - "Commodore Tom" - the radio show focuses on Rick's songwriting career of past, present, and future as well as news and updates, but don't worry Elvis fans, we'll look at his ETA career, too. We'll have scheduled guests, including Rick himself. Season 2 of the radio show airs every Sunday, starting September 13th, from 2:00-2:30pm Central. To contact, email RickSaucedoRadio@Yahoo.com.

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in. It's our off week, so we'll look back on our last episode and ahead to our upcoming episode. Last week, in our fourth episode, you heard about Rick's fourth original album: Memphis I'm Coming Home. We heard from Rick on the album as well as some of the songs off of this bestseller. If you tuned in, you also heard the trivia question. You can still send in your trivia answer from Heartbeat 4 to ricksaucedoradio@yahoo.com. Remember the first question is void because of the caller winner, so listen to the second question. As promised, here is the key info from Heartbeat 4 last Sunday. Our theme was Rick's fourth original album: Memphis I'm Coming Home from 1999. (Cover - 1999) Title: Memphis I'm Coming Home Release Date: 1999 Album Number: 4th Original, 8th Overall Format(s): CD Band: Rick Saucedo & Then-Members of '90s EAS Band Harmonies: The Jordanaires Songlist: 23 Skidoo El Diablo I Will Stay Destiny
Heart and Soul (Played on Heartbeat 4) Passion of Love
Rock 'n Roll (Played on Heartbeat 4) Memphis, I'm Coming Home My Lord (Played on Heartbeat 4)
Don't Put Me Down All songs written by Rick Saucedo and this is available on CD at ricksaucedo.com or Rick's shows. As mentioned, it is Rick's fourth original album and eighth overall [including Rick Saucedo Live/The Ambassadors (1976), The Legend Lives On - Volume 1 (1995), Spiritual Christmas (1998)]. The album was released at shows and in music stores in 1999 and to this day remains Rick's best-selling album in the U.S. The first thousands sold rather quickly and the album is now in its second printing. Though Memphis is and likely will always be his best-seller, his 2007 "Elvis Story" may be quickly catching up, but out of his originals...this still takes the cake. Some of the other music played in Heartbeat 4 included: Tell Me Why (1981 - Evening Glow) If You Talk in Your Sleep (2009 - Live in Chicago) The Wanderer (1976 - Live) Our next episode of Heartbeat Radio will be Episode 5 next Sunday, May 3rd. Here's a preview of it: The end of our first season is quickly approaching! In Episode 5, we'll be looking at Rick's 5th Original Album, History Makin', Country Shakin' from 2006, Rick in the 2000's, song remasters, why the break in songwriting, and more. We'll also hear from Rick himself, get a look at the trivia, and have some other surprises, too. That's next Sunday, May 3rd, at 5pm Central. We'll outline the rest of our first season in the following blog post. Until then... - Commodore Tom
