Rick Saucedo Heartbeat Radio

Singer, songwriter, musician, and Elvis Tribute Artist Rick Saucedo began his career in 1972 with The Ambassadors. Upon beginning his tribute to Elvis Presley, Rick and The Ambassadors rocked and rolled through the '70s and '80s. As time went on, Rick began a career of songwriting. Since 1978, Rick has written and released over 40 of his own original songs. His first original album, "Heaven Was Blue", was released on vinyl and is now considered a psychedelic cult-classic worth over $1000 a piece. To date, Rick has released albums of psychedelic, rock, country, and gospel natures. Rick's original music has become an important staple in his shows. Hits such as "I Will Stay", "Tell Me Why", "Love is a Game", "Our Love", and "Once Again" have received radio play and rave reviews. In 1998, Rick Saucedo went solo and has since continued to grow and develop musically and as an entertainer. Rick is now capable of playing numerous instruments professionally and is focusing more heavily on songwriting and expanding his career. In 2000, his website ricksaucedo.com launched. In 2007, he hit cyberspace again with official releases onto YouTube. In 2008, he came to MySpace and in 2009, his first official radio show came here to BlogTalkRadio. Hosted by longtime friend and Rick Saucedo Show crewmember - "Commodore Tom" - the radio show focuses on Rick's songwriting career of past, present, and future as well as news and updates, but don't worry Elvis fans, we'll look at his ETA career, too. We'll have scheduled guests, including Rick himself. Season 2 of the radio show airs every Sunday, starting September 13th, from 2:00-2:30pm Central. To contact, email RickSaucedoRadio@Yahoo.com.

    Heartbeat: Sunday Off-Day #2: March 29th

Hi everyone, thanks for checking us out. It's our off Sunday this week, but we'll be back a week from today for Heartbeat Radio - Episode 3. So since last week, not much going on as Rick has been wrapping up his Sweden Tour. Rick phoned in on Episode 2 and talked about his then-upcoming trip to Sweden. Since Sunday, Rick has performed his shows and is on his return flight home. The shows were an enormous success in-front of sell-out crowds. We'll hear about it from him next Sunday on Heartbeat 3.

As promised, here is the key info from Heartbeat 2 last Sunday. Our theme was Rick's second original album: "Evening Glow" from 1990.

    Songlist:
Lazy Crazy (Played on Heartbeat 2)
    Love Is A Game
    Oh My God
Today, Tomorrow, and Forever (Played on Heartbeat 2)
    Heartbeat (Played on Heartbeat 2)
    Tell Me Why
    Our Love
Oh My Darlynn, I Need You Tonight
    Love Will Grow
    Evening Glow

All songs written by Rick Saucedo and this is available on CD at ricksaucedo.com or Rick's shows. Rick recently remastered all of the songs in 2007.

A quick clarification: this is Rick's second original album, but it says third album on the cover because before his first two originals was his very first album - Rick Saucedo Live - a 1976 Elvis Tribute concert, but Evening Glow is his second original album and third album overall.

Other music played in Heartbeat 2 included:
"The Girl in Blue Jeans" (2006 - History Makin', Country Shakin')
1974 Long Tall Sally Medley (2009 - Live Concert: 3/21/09)
You Don't Have to Say You Love Me (2008 - That's the Way it Was)
Hell Cat (2007 - Love Inside You)

Our next episode of Heartbeat Radio will be Episode 3 next Sunday, April 5th.
    Here's a preview of it:

We'll be looking at Rick's 3rd Original Album, "Freak of Nature" from 1996 and Rick in the '90s. We'll also hear from Rick on his trip to Sweden and we'll have some other surprises, too. That's next Sunday, at 5pm Central, live following Rick's performance at the Blue Chip Casino. Until then...

    - Commodore Tom
