Tonight we are going to explore the idea of women being just like men. What started the idea for this discussion is the article "Why Girls Are Really Losing Self-Esteem in College" http://www.huffingtonpost.com/uloop/why-girls-are-really-losi_b_4273321.html?utm_hp_ref=tw
I grew up in the middle of the women's rights movement. I was a product of Title IX. Here's my question, are we living the dream or are we living a big lie? Why do we feel as though we have to be just as good as men, and still been a great mother? Why do we think we need to rule in the boardroom, and still bake cookies for the schools fundraiser?
Are we putting too much pressure on ourselves? Are we putting too much pressure on our children? Is all of this stress and anxiety worth this dream?
