Call in to speak with the host
Last night I watched a mother complain that her son's feeling were hurt that he wasn't included in a award that only 1% of the kids in school earned.
Then the small group of of moms she was sitting with started to complain that their children hadn't been recognized for anything yet this year in Junior High.
After this group left in a huff, some of the other moms and myself had a discussion about disappointments and why our kids need to learn how to deal with them.
Do you think you alway need to protect your kid's feelings? Or, do you think that hurt feelings is an important part of maturing?
It's good to talk.
