John W. Fountain grew up on some of the meanest streets in Chicago, raised without his natural father in a a neighborhood of broken homes, shattered dreams, crime, poverty, and self-destruction. In the absence of his father, Fountain discovered a God who embraced him, and through the presence of other men in his life, sufficiency for his own road to manhood.
His latest book, Dear Dad: Reflections on Fatherhood, captures a compelling story--of Fountain's journey and his reflections on fatherlessness as well as his own insights as a father today. But as an anthology, Dear Dad also provides a wider look at the impact of fatherlessness, and fatherhood, through the tales of fifteen other writers.
What difference does a dad make? Are they really important? Tune in at 8pm Eastern on June 12th, as we discuss the importance of fathers.
