Looking at the political/religious situation of Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan,and Iran a question comes to mind. Question: What would you say to those Muslims who believe that the Sharia (the Quranic Law) should be the law of the land? In other words, does Islam believe in the combining of religion and politics? Does a non-muslim living in a Muslim country have to live by the rules and regulations presented by the Islamic Sharia?     Gotta Go? Take The Real Revolution with you!

    Wow what a way to start off 2008! This month has been a huge success for the show.  We kicked it off with a 90 minute special show on Islam and Hip Hop.   We had special Guest 'Prince Ali' on the show and he even stayed on to take calls from our guests.  You can check him out on My Space http://www.myspace.com/alitheprince

    We also had King Israh on who shared some of his insight and some of his tunes. If you liked what you heard you can hit him up on myspace as well www.myspace.com/israhmusic.  Look out for King Israh on his upcoming album "Cali Ripkins".  Also dont forget about the group Pacific Sonz who have a project they are working on and should be hitting shelves soon called 'Lost Tribez ov Kedar Vol I' 

    It was a tough task to follow up the Hip Hop show with something interesting, but hey we have primaries and caucuses happening around the country so we dug into theocracy, government, and separation of church and state both in America and the Islamic world.  

    Then about half way through the month.  The Real Revolution team unveiled The Real Revolution on the Go!

    Whats the purpose:
    To allow our listeners the freedom to roam around without having to worry about being by their computers during the show. Now you can listen to the show, while washing dishes, doing laundry, in the bathroom, or even in your sleep. We know you need your Real Revolution fix so we are giving it to you any way you want it.

    How it works:
    It works through your telephone.  Its basically another number that you can dial just to listen to the show.  You punch int this alternate number. It asks you for the access code...and baam! Your listening to the show through your phone (so now you can listen in with your hands free device, or even your blackberry).  The Real Revolution on the Go! number will be on the site under the show segment description for a particular show.  (the number may be different from week to week)

    Just remember this is an alternate number from the shows LIVE call in number and if you dial in to this number you will not get on the air.  If you have a burning opinion and wish to speak out you should call the show at: 347-215-7879.

    So....we managed to debut Real Revolution on the Go during our Show on Gang Violence and what a show that was...wow! we talked about the solutions that Islam gives and specifically what some individuals are doing on a professional level to help overcome the Gang violence we see today in America.

    We wrap up the month with a show on Christianity and the teachings of Jesus Christ (may God be pleased with him) and this my friends is a special show because it marks the return of Brother Qasim.  Welcome back Qasim!
