An interesting discussion. I feel amazon's bully tactics are hurting the book industry and they are being sued by many organizations in numerous countries for their terrible business practices. What is an author to do? Luckily our books are available through numerous other book vendors, but it is still a painful process for those of us stuck in the middle. Re: James Frey...why didn't they just marketed it as a contemporary historical fiction? We did this with my book "Painting The Invisible Man." Based on true events, but like Meyer Levin's book, "Compulsion" memory (facts) merged with imagination.
