Lunch boxes have been a reflection of popular culture in America since the mid 1900s. Construction workers, children and executives alike have used them to carry their midday meal with them to school or the work place. Vintage lunch boxes manufactured between 1950 and 1987 are now coveted by collectors everywhere. Our guest is Warren Madden from Fort Richey, Florida--an avid collector: an expert in his field. Still popular today, these whimsical boxes conjure up the memories of yesteryear with popular characters fondly remembered from childhood. Prices for these pieces of history vary according to item. Items in mint condition are difficult to find because these items were used on a daily basis and often sustained damage. Many were simply discarded and replaced at the beginning of the new school year. There are some that can cost as little as a few dollars and others that may cost several hundred dollars.
