Although the pesticide industry is spending millions of dollars in an effort to convince the public that neonicotinoid pesticides are not responsible for the global decline of our pollinators, especially honeybees, there are new efforts being made to prove that these chemicals must be banned.

In this week’s segment of The Neonicotinoid View, host June Stoyer and Tom Theobald talk about new research by Dr. Elizabeth Y. Long and Dr. Christian H. Krupke titled, “Non-Cultivated Plants Present A Season-Long Route Of Pesticide Exposure For Honey Bees.” In addition, there are two new major efforts being made by bee health advocates to educate the American public. The first is an effort called Keep the Hives Alive Tour which is a joint effort to save pollinators from toxic pesticides. The second is a multimillion-dollar campaign lead by Environment America to educate 700,000 Americans. To learn more, stay tuned!

“The Neonicotinoid View”, which is produced by The Organic View Radio Show is unique, weekly program that explores the impact of neonicotinoids on the environment. Tune in each week as June and Tom explore the latest research and news from the beekeeping community.
