The organic industry has come a long way. However, as with any industry, when the economy is weak, it can be challenging, especially if you are managing every area within the company. Traditionally, entrepreneurs have always worn many hats. Interestingly enough, for some small business owners marketing their own business has been the ultimate challenge.

In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to author, Donna Blinston, R.N., R.G.N, of the best-selling book, Psychobabble: A Straight Forward, Plain English Guide to the Benefits of NLP, explores the possible difficulties of owning a business and will discuss ways to develop the business using the tools and techniques of Neuro-linguistic programming. NLP refers to a stated connection between the neurological processes "neuro", language "linguistic" and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience "programming" and can be organized to achieve specific goals in life. One question that all new businesses need to answer is “with all of the products and service available to my customers why should they buy from me?” The tools of NLP can be used to answer this, enhancing the businesses identity, marketing, advertising and sales strategies. NLP will provide you with tools to review the relationships within your business and how to build and develop the relationships with your customers. We will also talk about leadership and what it takes to ensure the growth of the company, emphasizing the need for clear core roles and responsibilities. Identifying the mission of a business and ensuring all members of staff can identify with the vision, knowing their role will ensure that all staff members are pulling in the same direction. Holding the vision in mind will develop a charisma which will flow through aligning all areas of the business and needs of the customers.
