Outbreak Edition - The End of the World

Harold Camping, former engineer turned theologian and founder of Familyradio.org, predicted the rapture on May 21st, 2011, followed by 5 months of disaster with the final end of it all on October 21st. 

May 21st came-and-went without a blip.  Mr. Camping revised his prediction to simply the end of the World on October 21st.  This isn't the first dud-prediction for Camping, the End of the World failed to occur when he originally predicted it in 1994.

Despite these failures and his strange mathematics behind his predictions, thousands of people believed, and even donated huge sums of money, to their promotion and support.  This is related to the fact that for many of it's adherents, Christianity is a 'death-cult'.  It members actively pray for the return of their Lord and Savior and the end of life as we know it.

 Tonight, we discuss End of the World predictions, the mentality that longs for the end of all things, and the weirdness surrounding a desperation for mass suicide.
