Ha Ha, did you see that, she hit me because I wouldn't give her the ball back, she's gonna be feisty. Ah man, look at him, he's mean mugging, too cute. The irony is that we recognize these potential behaviors that could escalate early own. However, instead of addressing them while they are young, we laugh at it or shrug it off as a phase..We say things like, she's just a baby, she doesn't mean anything by it, or he's just doing what he see's his daddy doing. Now she's 13 years old and slamming doors in the house when she can't have her way, and he is 15 years old and flexing at you when he is told no. It's time for us as parents to step up our game and address these behaviors when we see them. The time to act is NOW.
