ReeCee hails from Illinois, outside of St. Louis, Mo. In addition to her work as a freelance journalist, she dedicates a great deal of time toward community activism, mostly in the area of issues pertaining to equality and domestic violence. In this capacity, she speaks to organizations and students about prevention of and recovering from violence in the home. She uses her art to bring attention to this cause in varying manners, including organizing an installment of The Clothesline Project.
