Happy day after 4th of July! Co-hosts Cheryl Taragin and RafiT continued their trivialization of the news by putting human interest stories, Baltimore news, national news, and celebrity news on the hot seat. Emerging as today's theme was the bad economy, seen in such stories as a college grad suing her dad for tuition reimbursement, incoming GW freshman griping about loss of maid service in their dorms, and Baltimore's Harborplace showing signs of age as it celebrated its 30th birthday. Other topics included a discussion about Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele's recent foot in mouth controversy, the Baltimore National Aquarium expansion, Mel Gibson's alleged race bashing tirade, and Dave Chappelle's emergency private plane landing after he was deemed a security risk. What in the world is going on with Chappelle? RafiT issued a challenge to get Dave on our next show. A call will go out to his publicist and, hopefully, there is a chance (fat and slim) that Dave will answer the call. Nobody correctly guessed the answer to our new contest, "Quotes from Famous Plays." That means the free flag T-shirt and Dr. Seuss book (courtesy of RafiT) are still up for grabs. Tune into this episode to find out the correct answer and tune in next Monday, July 12th at 1:00 p.m. EST for a chance to win and weigh in on our discussions.
