Jay Pennington: artist / pet rescuer / rocket scientist / cowboy gunslinger / actor As a child I really admired my friends who were labeled “the artists”. At that point in my life because I couldn’t draw or paint something that looked real, I thought then that I must not be an artist. In my younger days I didn’t have the confidence to take on the world. I didn’t think that one person born in humble surroundings could do things that could help, inspire, or make a difference with others. The good news is that through my adult years I’ve learned to take on challenges, set goals and pursue dreams with patience and persistence…and realized how individuals can positively affect others in extreme ways by even just small gestures. Through the pure excitement I get from the process of creativity I’ve learned these ideals and gained confidence through music, arts and photography, humanitarian efforts, computers and technology, writing, directing skits, cowboy reenactments and recently film and acting. I’d like to share some of my experiences in the arts and sciences with my goal to inspire you to take your normal days and step out and add more adventure and dreams to your life.
