Willie Terry Jr. was in original Mighty Clouds of Joy. He was born and raised in Detroit Michigan and currently lives in Ann Arbor Michigan.  Leander at an early age, began to discover his artistic talents, as he grew up singing in his mother's church. But what influenced him the most was music, so quickly desired to get into the field. He taught himself to play the guitar, bass, percussion's, drums, and the piano. He later learned how to write and compose songs. He joined with several bands in Detroit, later in life, including the Touch, and the Serious Business Band, where they performed locally. Leander was mainly the keyboard player, and back up singer. By 1990 he left Detroit for Lansing, still performing, around the mid-Michigan area. With a different approach, he began writing songs, and going in and out of the studio to record. By 1999, he owned his own record label, Simple Pleasure Records, and he completed a 14-song demo CD. The first record company that he sent it to was  Outstanding records of Huntington Beach CA. Earl Beecher the Record Producer fairly enjoyed it, and sent him a record contract. And the CD (the Hour of Love) has been released in the stores locally in the Michigan area, and he has been seen on TV numerous times. Leander since then has been performing in the Mid-Michigan area, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Arizona, Oregon. His music has been playing in England, Australia and Africa. The Detroit band known as Uncle Meat. They are auditioning musician's to join the band and tour and Guitarist Scott Schroen felt inspired to start a project consisting of everyone and anyone capable of playing the music of Frank Zappa, a definite challenge. An ad was placed in the local paper simply stating, "musicians wanted to perform the music of Frank Zappa", and so ensued a few weekends of what was later dubbed, "Zappa Survivor". Groups of musicians would essentially drill selected pieces during rehearsal, and later everyone would vote on who they think should stay for the next round. After a few no-shows, a few driven to quit by musical intimidation and a collection of other circumstances, the few that were left from the 'survivor' sessions ultimately became the lineup for Uncle Meat. The project performed FZ around the greater Detroit area until the last show on Frank's birthday, December of 2003. With only a few adjustments, Uncle Meat was disbanded and the remaining, Scott Schroen and Preston Parish reformed the project as... I will have the pleasure of interview an artist who is from The United States but lives on the road. Bradley Fish is a freelance musician who spent the past 6 years based in Israel is taking his new live laptop looping-based music international, blending his mastery of many real instruments with DJ-like effects, while touring and rehearsing in a large purple van. Fish seems to care very little that by doing so he may actually confuse his old hippie and stoner-rock era fans used to his raw, earthy styling. Fish recently finished his 3rd CD of loops for SONY and co-wrote and played Chinese Zither on a track for multi-million record selling Dan Reed. Fish appears on new Bigga Haitian reggae tracks with ‘Yvad’ Bob Marley’s successor in the Wailers, and Jerry Johnson, the sax player behind Steel Pulse, Queen Latifah, and Burning Spear’s 2009 Grammy winning ‘Jah Is Real’ CD. The nearly 1 million internet hits on Fish’s immodest “Jewish Girl Blues” video angered religious leaders in Jerusalem, who smashed Fish’s rare collection of priceless electric guitars, but Fish still managed to play acoustic guitar on recordings with several secular Israeli platinum selling artists including Arkady Duchin and Rami Kleinstein. Bradley holds a B.A. degree in jazz guitar from Northern Illinois University, where he studied with master guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque, who completely kicked Bradley’s ass. During this ivory tower period, Fish gained exposure to a plethora of instructors and styles of music from around the world and across time, grew his hair incredibly long, and wrote several songs about weed. Through all the mayhem, somehow, Bradley Fish has managed to hang on to endorsement deals with the following great and lovely companies, whom he thanks profusely for all the cool, free sh*t: Martin Guitars, Pintech Drums, Echo Audio, Minarik Guitars, Presonus Audio, Ableton, and Bome’s. Dragatis. Jimmie D. Dragatis is the creator of DRAGATRONIC He is a drummer, composer, producer. His roots are from Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver Canada and Los Angelos. He is a musician of diverse tastes with an eclectic history in many genres. To show off his prowess in creating electronica. Everything from down tempo to bright, melodic techno to world-tronica to trance is on display. The first single from "Eyes Wide Shut" is called "Frantic" and uses its instrumental trance flavors to explore the heady energies of the sexual encounters of lovers. With its lack of lyrics, the song, of course, lends itself to many interpretations. But regardless of a listener's take on the song, it's a formidable track. Focused but filling up the space, the song segues through stages of progress; always holding to its aesthetic of trance meets technologic inorganica meets psy meets electronic melody. It's an evolving song where time collapses into a mating of futuristic and retro-based sensibilities. "It's a bit of a naughty contour for sex," says Jimmie. "It seems to explain the whole "frantic" behavior we have in a very intense and passion driven affair with a wife or girlfriend" Jimmie has released two new discs titles are "Hallucinations" and "Take a Bite" and can be purchased through his site the following links. These discs capture the old beginnings re-mastered and the second generation of songs displayed on the "Take a Bite". The first disc has been very well received in Europe as expected because of its very liberal and no holds bared attitude. The third generation of songs are what you would call a new evolution of dance/trance/hip hop. The fourth and up and coming recording has such titles as "Penetrating Paris" and "If it Ain't Broken Break It" is due this year. Merchandise can be purchased through his store on these sites. www.dragatis.com www.reverbnation.com/dragatis01:00:00TheMusiciansSocialClubnoTechno,Music,Interview,Canada,ElectronicOn Wednesday September 6, 2010 I will have the pleasure of interviewing Jimmie D. She is a wonderful person and a creative, talented person. Plus she has a great British accent. You’d want to listen to her all day too. Tommie began her musical life before the age of 4, playing piano and later several other instruments. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London where she had begun a life long love affair with the works of Frederic Chopin! However, musical influences at home were many forms from jazz to ragtime, blues to rock, reggae to swing. It was the blues that spoke loudest to Tommie's heart and soul. It was her dream to write, perform, arrange, record and produce her own distinctive music and this has now been achieved. All musicians absorb so many influences, but Tommie does not knowingly imitate, replicate or emulate anyone. Tommie's music is in many different styles, is just what it is. She was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in the USA in July 2010 as Ambassador to New Zealand. Tommie is the only Blues Indie artist to be featured on The Jazz Network Worldwide. She was awarded the Inaugural Independent Artist Honor 2010 by Global Thunda Network in Australia. She has been nominated for a Radio Grammy on GHP Radio 2010. She is now heard on Radio in 130 countries of the world. She also has her own internet radio show on WomensRadio . Tommie wrote to me on Facebook today and told me, “I love interviewing the musicians but of course I'm also interviewing non-musicians too. The focus of my show is people who inspire me in some way, either with their music or their life or both.” So join us and speak to Tommie and myself for a very interesting show. It has been my coping mechanism in hard times and my outlet in times of joy. Every song I write is extremely personal to me – it’s as if they give me a window into my own soul. I grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota, where I learned to let nature speak to me. There is nothing that I love more then being outdoors, and pieces of nature usually find their way into my songs. Starting right from their name, The Shoreline brings attention not only to the State of Florida, a place well known for serene beaches and palm trees, but also to the fast-growing scene of great music the boys are proud to be a part of. “Our music is a way to relate to people and the things they go through,” says bass player Justin Jacobs, “It’s an escape for them, just like how you might use the beaches.” For their third EP release, Fake It ‘Til You Make It, the four-piece Pop/Rock band from Orlando, FL has given the scene a new taste of how the genre can be digested. Right from the first track, The Shoreline proves why they are a band to be respected and listened to. “I’ve never had a writing and recording process go by so fast and comfortably in my whole life,” guitarist Ryan Phillips states, “It was an absolute pleasure working with my friends.” The band has grown and matured over their two years of existence through National touring, including the coveted Warped Tour. “It has been an experience like none other,” says vocalist Jose Solorzano, “We’ve had amazing shows and met some super cool people. All in all, it’s been fun.” It didn’t take long for them to be noticed by Society Entertainment, who added the band to the label in November 2009 and released their latest EP, a record displaying their newly designed tunes that fans and critics agree, is a sound to be reckoned with. The Shoreline is currently writing their first full length record amidst their extensive touring schedule, which brings the boys all over the Southeast US. WITH THE MULTI-TALENTED SISTERS PATTI, SUZI, NANCY, AND ARLENE QUATRO, THESE TEENAGERS DARED TO GO WHERE WOMEN HAD NOT GONE BEFORE, AGAINST ALL ODDS, STOMPING THEIR WAY INTO A MALE DOMINATED HEAVY ROCK SCENE. IN 1969, MORPHING INTO CRADLE, THE SISTERS CONTINUED IN A MUCH HARDER DIRECTION, CONTRIBUTING RELEVANT LYRICS, CREATIVE HARMONIES, AND HEAVY ORIGINAL MUSIC WITH ATTITUDE. CRADLE ROCKED THE HOUSE WITH THE LEGENDS OF THE DAY, PAVING THE WAY FOR FEMALE MUSICIANS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AS HARD ROCKERS. The lineup included: Suzi Quatro (bass, vocals, and keys), Nancy Quatro (vocals, percussion, violin, bass, and keys), Patti Quatro (vocals and guitars), and Nancy Rogers (drums, vocals, and tympani). He established himself as a blues artist in Florida during the 1980s where he was that state's first master artist of the blues for the NEA's apprenticeship program in 1991. He was also the Pioneer Florida Old-Time Music Champion for Finger-Pick Guitar in 1990. When asked what kind of music he plays Blue once replied, “Traditional, acoustic, Delta, slide, Piedmont, finger-style, Southern rural, pre-war, country, pre-electric with a touch of spirituals, hollers, rags and American finger-style guitar seasoning.” Over the past 25 years, Blue has played from St Louis to Miami, Jackson to New York and sold his independently produced recordings from Hong Kong to Prague. Blue moved to North Carolina in the early 1990s and stopped performing but with the new millennium he is back out playing again.
