The Ms. Boss Show Launch Your Own Bag Line Pt. 2

Chris Loera is the founder of Christa & Captain, the only Eco savvy handbag line that includes coordinating reusable bags inside of their purses.  Christa & captainwas born after this busy wife and mom came across a documentary on environmental issues.She realized how many plastic bags she would collect from shopping and learned howdetrimental these one-time use plastic bags were for the environment.  The problem was she kept forgetting the reusable bags at home or in the car.  Come to find out, this is the number one reason why more people do not consistently use reusable bags.She searched high and low for a purse that would allow her to carry her everyday itemsplus had organized compartments with reusable bags.  When nothing was found, she setout to create it.  Timing couldn't have been better for this full time Realtor, at thetime.  When the real estate market tanked in her area in 2010 this gave way for her tostart her business.   Chris' goal is to eventually have a style of purse to please every women out there. She would be most happy to help more women adopt using reusable bags, since womendo most of the shopping for their families.  Most importantly, she hopes to make it easy for the Average Jane to be planet friendly.  We need to break the cycle of thinking that being eco-friendly is reserved for a 'certain crowd'.  It's our duty as humans on this earth to each just do our part.  Our children are depending on it.   Chris  lives in Houston, Texas with her amazing husband and her awesome 3 children.
