I agree with RhymeCypha and Poet Of Pain and that is that rap is more focus on entertaining and spoken word is about the message and rap is about timing and signature and rhythm to fit a confine and spoken word was free spirit and background music is just played for accompainent but not necessarily fitting the beat specifically just enhancement from my experiences.
