Today's show is all about Maria Alvarado director of the Women Entrepreneur Committee for the Camara de Empresarios Latinos de Houston, CELH (Houston Chamber of Hispanic Entrepreneurs) Her purpose In Life: “To live consciously and courageously, to resonate with love and compassion, to awaken the great spirits within others, and to leave this world in peace.” Born in South America, Colombia, Maria Alvarado is a mother, wife, entrepreneur and community leader at heart. 2007 through 2010 Maria Alvarado has been director of the Women Entrepreneur Committee for the Camara de Empresarios Latinos de Houston, CELH (Houston Chamber of Hispanic Entrepreneurs), through her leadership qualities she has more than quadrupled the growth of the committee and increased the female participation and integration. Her true passion is to educate, unify and empower Latina women in reaching their maximum potential both professionally and personally, thru the committee she has motivated women to succeed in all areas of their lives as mothers, wives, entrepreneurs and community leaders. In 2010 she was elected as first female chair elect in 16 years for CELH. She sits on several committees in the organization as Vice-Director for the Membership Committee and Ambassador of the Business Networking Committee.
