From starting freelancing right after college, Glamaris Gonzalez began her mural and window mural works throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth and Waco Area. Some of her clients included Exxon, Wendy’s, La Madeleine and Jason’s Deli to name a few. While she still does murals and window artwork, she is currently, developing her own line of purses and handbags as part of her wearable art series. Currently available on Etsy.com
She enjoys creating pieces with magazine pages, fabric, found objects and embellishes them with acrylic paints, colored thread, and more. Inspired by the colors and the textures of Marc Chagall and Frida Khalo’s paintings, she attempts to capture the essence of life as it is.
In August of this year she received an honorary mention for a collage piece called “Big Tex” at the Texas: Flora, Fauna & Cowboys. 1st Annual International Competition, promoted by SoDeVis Gallery in Frisco. The Opening reception will be October 7th at the TVAA Downtown Gallery in Dallas, TX.
